Head of Youth and Community Engagement
Managing our Youth and Community Engagement Team, you will be responsible for a number of pioneering programmes, including Premier League Kicks, NCS and youth mentoring with the aim of providing inspirational and aspirational opportunities for young people across Sunderland, South Tyneside and Durham.
The role will also see the successful applicant join our Senior Leadership Team, helping the Foundation of Light achieve its strategic and operational aims.

Family Learning Officer (35 hours)
Working with our Community Education Team, you will deliver a range of non-accredited community learning courses across our award-winning Family Learning provision including sessions focusing on health and fitness, healthy eating, disability awareness, digital safety and introductions to local industries.
You will have the ability to support adults to engage in first-steps learning whilst also delivering high quality activities to pre-school and primary age children.
The base for the post is the Beacon of Light, with delivery across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham.

Duty Manager (Part Time 24 hours per week)
Purpose of the role: is to assist with the day-to-day management and medium-term planning of the entire Beacon of Light complex, including programming of sports bookings and operational management of sports and events facilities. The position entails working flexible hours to provide management cover at all times. We are looking for a candidate with similar experience of running a busy leisure or hospitality facility.

STEM Coordinator will design, develop, deliver and evaluate engagements in order to offer valuable knowledge and experiences to a wide variety of schools. This role will be suitable for anyone with a passion and understanding of STEM subjects; including graduates.

Events Officer (Maternity Cover - 35 hours per week)
£20,285 per annum (pro-rata)
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced events organiser to join a fast-moving and growing charitable organisation at a very exciting time.
The role is to deliver a wide range of events to a high standard. To assist with the day-to-day planning and coordination of both Beacon of Light and Foundation of Light events and to support the Events Manager in delivering all aspects of public and corporate events while maximising profit in all areas.

Sports Coaches
Our Community Coaches fulfil a range of exciting roles, delivering across our football and sports programmes, including schools delivery, evening and weekend programmes and football specific development centres. The base for this post is the Beacon of Light but you will be required to travel across the areas of Sunderland, South Tyneside and Durham.

Receptionist – (20 hours, shifts will include weekend work)
The role is to assist with the day-to-day operation of reception. Dealing with all incoming enquiries in person and on the telephone, taking facility bookings and managing the booking operating system, keeping accurate records of bookings and payments made. The successful candidate would have previous reception experience, a proven track record in a customer facing role and deliver exceptional customer service.

Goalkeeper Coaches
We are recruiting goalkeeper specific coaches to support the delivery of the extensive evening and weekend programme. We deliver a wide range of sessions for beginners, through to gifted and talented, male and female, children and young people; across Sunderland, South Tyneside and Durham. Coaches need to be qualified to a minimum of FA (or equivalent NGB) Level 2 and Level 1 goalkeeping to apply.
Casual Football Coaches
Foundation of Light are looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic Football Coaches to work across our football pathway with participants in age groups ranging from 5 years to 16 years.
Our coaching staff must be professional, forward thinking and dedicated to achieving our objectives as part of a fast moving and hard-working team.
Applicants must currently hold a minimum of an FA level 2 football coaching certificate and FA Emergency First Aid Level 1 Certificate.
